Group PEAK Sessions
Life doesn't happen in a vacuum. Many children can benefit from the added value of building skills in the context of their peers. We offer a very unique program designed for every child seeking to learn and grow in the social community.
PEAK Groups are designed for children with autism and related disabilities to expand upon their blossoming language repertoires as they receive 1-1 individual services. These small groups of 2-4 children allow for the instructors to foster natural language using incidental teaching, all while making learning fun.
Group sessions incorporate individual learning targets in creative instructional designs. We use peer-modeling, rival modeling, behavior skills training, group contingencies, and goal setting. Children will also learn life skills functional to their age for better adaptation into the community around them.
